Summary: ”Rock Reef Resort” is a basic motel with a lower standard. Due to its location it has an expensive price - that is not in relation to the standard. We stayed here as a couple for one night in a Comfort Suite and this is what we liked: The proximity to the sea is wonderful. Small sandy beach. Opportunities to sit on the pier and observe the wildlife Good apartment with a kitchen.Quick check in. What we didn't like: Before arrival we received two emails with rules we had to abide by at the accommodation. The feeling was that we as the customers should meet the accommodation's needs ,and not the other way around. The resort practicallly ask the guest to do the housekeeper’s job. It might be appropriate at a cheap hostel, but not at this accommodation which is highly priced. The pool area was closed.(June-25) However, this small detail was not mentioned in either of the two emails. As I prefer the pool over the sea, this was a big disappointment for me. I had not chosen this resort if I knew that the pool was closed. Only two out of four hotplates were usable in the kitchen. Made it hard for us to prepare the meal we had planned. The beds are very soft and sagging. This accommodation gets an average rating from me. Will choose another accommodation next time in Key Largo. I rate value for money (240 dollars/night) as low.

Summary: For the price a great place to stay. The beds were comfortable and the rooms very clean. It is an older hotel but most in this area are. The rooms have been updated…..floors and bathrooms. The pool and grounds were also very nice. Hammocks picnic tables, and shaded places to sit and relax. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: A great hotel! Everything is nice and well maintained. Staff very friendly and all is clean. The best part is being right on the water with great beach area and shady area. Lots of planes to die and eat outside by the beach. Kayaks available. This is one of my preferred places to stay. Ask is very nice from room to grounds and beach. Water is warm and views are amazing. Super sunset views. People starting here were very friendly so I made s lot of new friends. It's close to restaurants and shopping. It's also near community center (YMCA) with a very nice walking area. If you have a pet, it's an ideal place to bring. Lots of grounds for a good walk, playground for kids, plenty of shade spots to soak it all in!

Summary: No complaints what so ever. They have a dock if you want to bring your boat just no fishing on property. Enjoyed my stay.

Summary: Room was perfectly fine. Office/desk is closed after a certain time [9pm?] but late check in was a breeze. We just emailed and they replied promptly with key pick up instructions.
